I know what the problem was, I had title fonts set to be fonts-league-
spartan, in gnome-tweaks (0.1 of it installed), after the upgrade to
19.10 i have (0.3 of the font installed) and for some reason the fonts
were set to "None", however already running gui applications had the
text still display,
Oh, and I don't have apport installed anymore. And don't plan to re-
install it again.

Several machines out of 100, here also have problems with locking
(that's desktop computers, not laptops). Current workaround completely
disable screensaving/locking.
One of the computers fills disk (/var/log/syslog) with:
Dec 17 00:13:25 hostname org.gnome.Shell.desktop[22108]:
[24575:24575:1217
$ dpkg -l |grep colord
ii colordiff 1.0.18-1
all tool to colorize 'diff' output

amd64GTK
obviously i rebuilt the package dropping things that cause problems for
my setup (we do not want user to have network-manager), nor do they get
sudo. so still i consider it a bug to not run just telling colors not
available in the gui.
