I know what the problem was, I had title fonts set to be fonts-league- spartan, in gnome-tweaks (0.1 of it installed), after the upgrade to 19.10 i have (0.3 of the font installed) and for some reason the fonts were set to "None", however already running gui applications had the text still display,
