As per XXX, after temporarily removing /etc/apt/preferences.d/proposed-
updates, the update installed and so far it seems to be working. It
still takes a very long time to get to the desktop after logging in
though.

I'm affected by this bug as well. I tried the -proposed package, but
I'm getting the same error as Emmanuel Grumbach pasted above.
