Occasionally when resuming from suspend, text is randomly missing in
GTK+ applications. Chrome and QT apps are unaffected. In my case it
doesn't occur very frequently, perhaps once a week at most. I typically
suspend my system every day and only reboot once or twice a month.
I'm having a similar issue. I found that switching to a virtual terminal
and back again fixes the missing text in my case (Ctrl+Alt+F1 then
Ctrl+Alt+F7).

I'm experiencing a similar bug after I did upgrade to 11.10 from 11.04
with `do-release-upgrade`. None of my connection profiles are missing,
but Network Manager doesn't automatically connect to my Wifi network
even though it worked perfectly in all previous versions of Ubuntu.
