If anyone is wondering what "properly removing it" actually means it's
just literally rm /usr/local/lib/libimobiledevice.so.6. Don't worry
since there should already be a similar system library in
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/.
I also noticed there were other files with names starting with
libimobile
@Vej I just saw this error this morning, but on my second attempt using
the command you provided to get a log file there was no error. However,
upon inspection of the log file I can see that it didn't process all
"volumes". It was supposed to process 258 volumes, but the log file ends
on volume 11.

I'm not sure this bug's causes are the same as that bug (#1263205),
because there it says the problem is caused by installing a GTK3 library
from 14.04, and in my case I haven't installed that library or Gnome
Shell. Just plain old default 13.10.

I can't reproduce with the exact steps you describe, but I'm also
affected by the save options being greyed out sometimes. So far it seems
to be somewhat random so steps to reproduce are difficult to explain.
This usually causes problems in my case:

If I'm not mistaken this only affects non-Administrator user accounts.
It is happening on my fresh installation of 13.10.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a new unprivileged user using the User Accounts control panel
2) Login with this new user account
3) Try to share a folder with Nautilus

I'm not sure it's upgrades that cause this issue, because I'm also
experiencing loss of custom keyboard shortcuts. I think the reverting of
keyboard shortcuts back to their default values happens at every reboot,
although I think it doesn't always happen.

Actually there is no need to minimize the original Nautilus window to
reproduce this bug. All it takes is the Nautilus window loosing focus,
e.g. when changing to another application and then attempting to get

This afffects me and I'm using a Mac aluminium keyboard, PT locale and I

When does this happen? In what situation? It doesn't look like a bug at

Like Max Gardner this happens to me sometimes and (so far) only when
opening files through nautilus. The affected LO instance doesn't show up
on Alt+Tab or the Unity launcher. Sometimes it opens just fine. Maybe
it's related to the lo-menubar package? It's very hard to reproduce
consistently as it
