Yes, this has been driving me crazy.  Another side effect is if I select
several messages and try to move them.  If the last message I click is
not already marked as read, then when I go to drag them they all get
deselected because the UI instead decides that my drag is a click on the
unread one.

Bug description:
  For years, I used to be able to read a message, later mark it as
  unread and then drag and drop it into another folder with it being
  kept unread. After upgrading to 12.04, I can no longer do this. This
  is useful for some workflows where you mark messages as unread to
  provide a visual cue in the folder view to come back to it.

  TEST CASE:
  1. open evolution
  2. mark a message as unread
  3. click and drag to a new folder

  In step '3', the message is not draggable, but instead is simply
  marked as read. As such, you must click and drag the message to
  another folder, then go in that folder and mark the message as unread.
  This is inconvenient.
