1) I did a backup via clonezilla.
2) rebooted and found graphics glitches after fixing uefi boot problem.
3) attempt to change "Additional Drivers" from nvidia-updates to nvidia.

Killing the plexmediaserver allows me to shutdown/reboot as expected
from the menu.
I tried changing autologin stuff, and it had no effect.
sudo reboot works as expected.
It seems that plexmediaserver is doing something funky with how it runs
