sudo update-manager -d
but had no error during or after the upgrade process. The log output is
the same:

Leo this will cause regressions, particularly for users of the high
contrast theme.
The overrides should be only applied to Radiance/Ambiance so you should

after X comes up (and before starting the greeter) however this is run
as the gdm user, not root. will that work?

Can't change brightness with keyboard
I am on ubuntu 13.10 client, xubuntu 13.10 (headless) server. The
client has Remmina 1.0.0.4 installed (confirmed with synaptic), although
the 'about' reports only 0.9.99.1 for itself and all plugins which is
most confusing.
The server has xrdp 0.6.0-1 installed.
I cannot get copy and paste

libreoffice Mysql connector fails over network

Yes, I'm experiencing the same thing. Also pulseaudio is reporting only Dummy
Output, which I assume is connected.
None of the googleable solutions to the pulseaudio problem fix it. I understand
that I'm supposed to see my user ID when I type getfacl /dev/snd/*
Instead I get this:

I had a super quick look into why this buggy when identifying as Unity
gnome-panel.desktop and nautilus-classic.desktop, will need to have
Unity added to OnlyShowIn.
Still indicators won't load, this is probably something similar, but not
sure where that would be controlled from?

I will also add, that using Unity, should mean you will load Unity-
control-center and unity-settings-daemon (once it happens ), which will
be required since legacy code in the gnome- packages will be dropped
once the forking is complete.

gnome2/compiz sessions such as flashback and cairo-dock, should really
not be using GNOME, this is mostly gnome-shell specific.
GNOME Classic, should probably be using GNOME since it is gnome-shell
based. Although that makes it impossible to have different behaviour in
classic vs gnome-shell.
