Using the menu isn't hidden anymore by the dock and the dock hides when
a such menu is shown.

I've tested the proposed version too and I'm running it for some weeks
now with no crash reports myself.
I've also executed the test plans in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/TestPlans/gjs and all the JS apps
tested works fine, while GNOME shell had no gjs-related crash so far.

FYI, I'm quite sure this due to gtk, and probably to the way we have a
custom gstplayer implementation.
Weird enough that this doens't happen to me when installing such version
of gtk in my development environment... So we may miss some other
dependency?

So, installing `gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad` fixes the issue, but we can't
use it as it's not in main, so w probably need to backport something
else to gtk itself
