In my case, check_gl_texture_size causes the gnome-settings-daemon to stop 
loading the desktop session.Aftrer killing the process, the session continues 
to load.
I've upgraded to 12.04 4 days ago. My laptop uses Intel Graphics with i915 
module. 

Can this be related to the same problem or it's bettere to open a new
bug?
