Yes, this bug is in Ubuntu from version 10.04. Then I have added to Startup App gnome-settings-daemon and it seems that was better, because my problem was in 10.04-11.04 that every boot was started already started with this gray-ed icons. Didn't try this in new 11.10 instllation becauise this
