As you suggest, I did some tests with lightdm on Ubuntu 18.10 and it's

I'm on a NP700Z5C using LMDE/Debian testing. Keyboard backlight works in
auto mode, and its Fn+F9, Fn+F10 keys do nothing. It would fine for me
if it were possible to at least turn it off or auto. For example: when
watching a film in a dark room it is not possible to turn off those
lights off.

I'm using Kubuntu 12.04
Did you tried open the file attached on Comment #1?
As you can see, other user has the same problem (Comment #2).
$ lsb_release -rd

I have some files created on Windows7 (Libreoffice 3.4.4 - build 402),
but now is impossible open it on 3.5.0 build 13 - Kubuntu 12.04).
I get the error Read error - Unknown error happened
Exemple file attached.
If I export it as .XLS, I can open in Libreoffice 3.5.0 with

Brasero writes data disk, but does not recognize later. This happens since
version 11.4, when the gnome2 moved to Unity.
In Arch Linux using Gnome-shell this does not happen.

I've just tested against this defect on gedit 2.30.4 and apparently the
bug has been corrected. Thanks for your collaboration and patience
anyway!
