This bug is still present in Ubuntu 21.10 (and 21.04 and 20.10 for what
I have personally verified). Is there any update for it?
** Summary changed:
- [14.04] [Gnome-Settings-Daemon] unable to save default audio output device
+ [21.10] [Gnome-Settings-Daemon] unable to save default audio output
Confirmed here with Ubuntu 20.04 and GTX 1060. As already suggested I
used the fix:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet"
in the file:
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
and after:
sudo update-grub
which worked for me.
