For me I've found the solution. A few of the directories below ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ were owned by mysql and they needed to be owned by the current user. sudo chown -R your-user-name:your-user-name /home/your-user- name/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ -- You received this bug
