Unity does not supply Gnome Shell's "Appmenu" and there is no epiphany-
globalmenu package or similar. There is no (easily identifiable) way to
access the Epiphany browser's preferences, not even with dconf-editor.

LVDS1 reactivates when VGA1 is being dimmed just prior to being powered
off as a result of the inactivity timer. At the same time, the gnome
panels are moved from VGA1 to LVDS1. "Unminimized" application windows
remain on VGA1. The workaround described in Comment #3 restores things
to how they were
ear for no apparent reason. killing gnome-panel did
- not make it reappear, although sticky notes disappeared and then
- reappeared. after restarting gdm, and thus losing my whole login
- session, the panels were present again.
