This is on a legally blind user's machine so a larger cursor is needed.
Had problems on problems on ubuntu 20.04 n optiplex 780 with G98 [GeForce 8400
GS Rev. 2] with largest size and Yaru cursor. Cursor was flickering and a
square region around the cursor often failed
disabling makes freeze duration much shorter but you lose your desktop
session every time. DATA LOSS inevitable.

Actually, it looks like psensor does hang until the system starts to come back.
It does show a spike (of unknown amplitude) in CPU usage (tenfold) and CPU
temperature and there is an audible increase in fan speed. Top/gnome-terminal
also freezes.

gamebar. None of that nonsense is in my windoze or wsl/ubuntu
enviroment variables, either. And I checked for malware recently and
