In my case, the problem happened thus: My dad has POP email and uses Evolution. After I upgraded him to Oneiric and installed the version of Evolution present on it, the application asked me to convert the mailbox format, so I did. I also desire to see this integration. The default XUL notification does not fit in with Ubuntu's general polish. Perhaps this doesn't fit in with the Natty (now Oneiric) timeline, but it seems like @chrisccoulson has noted that something does need to happen. Can we rework this bug to fit what need
