What I meant was if one goes to language support, allows ibus as an
input method, and install ibus-hangul from the software center, one can
type in Korean.

Maybe from scratch, it isn't possible to type korean characters. But
checking askubuntu does reveal some answers. The question is getting
the keyboard from scratch.

my apologies, I thought it was a regression, but it wasn't. The korean
keyboard layout doesn't work in 12.04 either.
