I found the solution!! To get rid of this annoying problem I 'purged' Pulseaudio, restarted my computer, installed pulseaudio again, and after that installed the 'volume indicator'. Sinds then (2-3 months ago) its working perfect!! It never worked for so long, even after a fresh reinstall
