Just confirming that I am affected by this bug as well. HP309a, Quantal, 64bit, HPLIP from repos: printing OK, scanning fails as other have described. I worked through hp-check --fix (with sudo, which seemed to help get past certain errors), but despite all dependencies being met, and all the
