I'm running Chromium Version 24.0.1312.2 Ubuntu 12.10 (165266) and I do not see this behavior. The stable PPA for Chromium under ubuntu is being worked upon. https://launchpad.net/~chromium-daily/+archive/stable is the link. There is a 3rd party PPA that can be used to get updates and whilst I and
