Same here. It doesn't hapen ALL the time, but mainly when editing files
that are not .od*. Sometimes it helps to switch to another window and
back again.

I found a workaround: Clear the environment variable UBUNTU_MENUPROXY
using a command similar to the following:

I'm not sure whether this bug is related to bug 1045353, which I also

This seems to happen to me on nearly every occasion. Any ideas about how
I can access stoff that only appears in the menus in the mean time? Many
commands I frequently use don't have toolbar icons.

I can confirm this. For me, this doesn't occur when calc is started
directly. However, this occurs when a .ods or .xlsx file is opened from
the dash or from nautilus.
