Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
I should also add that as a workaround removing the account from the
account manager and adding it back again will cause the contacts to show
again.

This issue only started recently (in June 2013) for me. Previous to that
it was working properly when it connected or showing a message saying an
online account needs you attention when it wasn't connected. Now it
appears connected but doesn't show any contacts (even with offline
contacts set to vi

This also happens with me..No online contacts. In fact, the whole
integration with "online accounts" seems to be very disjointed. I can
never tell of an account is connected or not. Every time I start my
computer I get the "An online account needs your attention message" but
