My HTPC is hooked up to a Toshiba 37C3000P. Ubuntu starts up in the correct 
resolution - 1280x720, which fills the screen.
When I turn the TV off and then back on and when I change to another channel 
and then go back, the resolution changes to 1920x1080, which is higher than the 
TV's natural resolution and also doesn't fill the screen.
