Hi, Thanks for taking time to report this bug. This issue has been identified and is a duplicate of bug #1199877. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1199877 unity-panel-service memory leak and 100% CPU usage -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dp-unity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1248324 Title: top menu bar of unity panel freezes Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Since upgrading to 13.10, I can only work for a few hours before the top menu bar (along with the clock and other shortcuts) freezes. The only way I've been able to fix it is to restart the unity-panel- service. This freezing may be related to me switching between different workspaces, as I've noted that the menu bar options will get stuck to those for an application running on a workspace I switched away from. However, the menus are not clickable.
