Hi, thanks for helping me out.
No, the HDMI was not plugged in -- nor ever has been. I'm using a
laptop and the sound output should have been the built-in audio. After
I upgraded the system, it once (and only once) wanted to run all the
output through the HDMI, resulting in no audio at all. Aft
are you using hdmi connected to your hdmi tv/receiver ?
did your graphic driver get your hdmi tv/receiver 's EDID ?
seem your hdmi tv is not plugged
