Here is what happens in syslog when I try to run nvidia-settings now.

I would get those log files but I got into a weird state in PRIME where
I switched to the Intel profile and I can't even open nvidia-settings
anymore without it crashing.. :B
Here is what GPU manager log says right now:

Please install nvidia-prime 0.6 and ubuntu-drivers-common 1:0.2.89.6.
If you can still reproduce the problem, please attach the following
files:
1) /var/log/gpu-manager.log
2) The nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file generated by the "sudo nvidia-bug-
report.sh" command.
