Looks good. I not only tested to be sure this bug was eliminated in Ubuntu GNOME but since Tim added a bit more I cross-tested in Ubuntu to be sure we weren't creating some new bug. When Edubuntu resumes 14.04 daily builds (assuming they'll have a 14.04.1) I will however test to be certain that

Hello Erick, or anyone else affected, Accepted gnome-panel into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- panel/1:3.8.0-1ubuntu12.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package.

Thanks Tim, I wanted to retest the change in fresh installs of Ubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, and Edubuntu Utopic to be absolutely certain we're not breaking anything. I hope my non-technical regression potential is adequate for the SRU team. If not I may need Alberts or Dmitry to weigh in with a more

Lance, go ahead and add the SRU paperwork! Since gnome-session is only a recommends of gnome-panel it could be possible to end up without gnome-session installed, but I suspect this is fairly unlikely, there should be something else pulling it in on any GNOME based desktop. As a side note,
