Tested this further. The loading of wallpaper is instant if I go to console mode and then come back to GUI mode. (i.e press cntrl + alt + F2, and then press cntrl + alt + F7). Compared the logs when I didn't press the above key sequence and the time when I did press it. Only difference is: Ther
