Public bug reported:

Hello,

Android device Philips (idVendor=0bb4, idProduct=2008) is recognized as
MTP device only on some hardware with Ubuntu 14.04 while not recognized
on other. Ubuntu is booted on all hardware from the same official
livecd, i.e. not installed and not customized.

For example, it is recognized on Dell XPS M1330 and not recognized on Latitude
E6220.
There is a work around for this particular device however it is only suitable
for your own PC. There should be a general fix for this.

Here is a work around:
echo 'ATTR{idVendor}=="0bb4", ATTR{idProduct}=="2008", SYMLINK+="libmtp-%k",
MODE="660", GROUP="audio", ENV{ID_MTP_DEVICE}="1", ENV{ID_MEDIA_PLAYER}="1"' |
sudo tee /etc/udev/rules.d/69-libmtp.rules

Also I have checked the same with Ubuntu 15.04 livecd and it worked on
both laptops out of the box.

Best regards,
Stanislav
