Public bug reported: I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 15.10 from the 64-bit mini ISO. I installed Xubuntu Core. I installed Synaptic, and used that to install udftools and dvd+rwtools.
On Vivid and my usb 14.04 LTS, I see cd icons to click to mount and it mounts and reads and writes fine. On Wiley, I see a floppy icon on the xfce desktop and in Thunar instead, and it will not mount. I do not know that it matters, but the model of my dvd burner is: LG GP50N80 ~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 15.10 Release: 15.10 apt-cache policy dvd+rw-tools dvd+rw-tools: Installed: 7.1-11 Candidate: 7.1-11 Version table: *** 7.1-11 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ wily/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: dvd+rw-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to dvd+rw-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512708 Title: DVD-RAM disk not working Status in dvd+rw-tools package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 15.10 from the 64-bit mini ISO.
