Xmir on phones is first being aimed at users who plug in HDMI monitors
and use USB/Bluetooth keyboards/mice.

Hi,
If you're connecting any Mir client (which Xmir is) to Unity8 (the Mir server)
then Unity8 requires the client to jump through an extra hoop:
Xmir :0 --desktop_file_hint=unity8
This is a peculiarity of Unity8. Sorry about that.
