I have an issue where, despite seeing a full signal, I have no connection. when I try: ping -c 5 google.com I get ping: unknown host google.com and nothing that requires an internet connection works either. But this works: ping -c 5 127.0.1.1 PING 127.0.1.1 (127.0.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 127.0.1.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.031 ms 64 bytes from 127.0.1.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.042 ms 64 bytes from 127.0.1.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.026 ms 64 bytes from 127.0.1.1: icmp_seq=4 ttl=64 time=0.036 ms 64 bytes from 127.0.1.1: icmp_seq=5 ttl=64 time=0.034 ms --- 127.0.1.1 ping statistics --- 5 packets transmitted, 5 received, 0% packet loss, time 3997ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.026/0.033/0.042/0.009 ms Once I toggle the hardware off/on, it works again without issue.
