Tried to reproduce the error with another install:
No problems when Ubuntu 16.04 is fresh installed. No problems when it is fresh
installed with auto-update during installation activated. The problems begin
when Ubuntu is updated for the first time after the installation (this update

fine here, the image is updated in the users list and in the session
