I've tested the 4.8-rc5 mainline kernel, it boots successfully, but the problem is still there - touchpad is not working after boot but starts working after suspend. The outputs from xinput and synclient are the same. ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists- upstream-4.8-rc5
