Public bug reported: Ubuntu 16.04.1, Files 3.14.3
When selecting "many" files in Nautilus and selecting "New Folder with Selection" from the context menu, nautilus freezes and then crashes (closes) after a while, with the folder created and some of the files in the folder. This seems to happen deterministically given enough files. I get a crash with 400 files which are together 6gb. As this happens on the same file system, this should be an instantaneous operation: "mkdir X", "mv ... X". ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1653531 Title: New Folder with Selection freezes, crashes nautilus Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 16.04.1, Files 3.14.3 When selecting "many" files in Nautilus and selecting "New Folder with Selection" from the context menu, nautilus freezes and then crashes (closes) after a while, with the folder created and some of the files in the folder.
