I seem to have the same problem. IPv4 connection is lost. IPv6 still has
a connection. Disabling the network connection and enabling it again
restores the IPv4 connection. Problem probably exists since upgrading to
17.10. Never had a problem under 17.04.

When i lose connection and reconnect via nm-applet, I no longer have
information on the IPv4 connection (everything is reported as "unknown")
but the connection in IPv6 is indeed effective in DHCP

This bug looks a lot like mine (with the same network card, but another
revision), with the difference that I can not find the connection via
the network-manager applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/network-manager/+bug/1715013 so I do not know if they can be considered
as duplicates
I forgot: I have of course tested DNS other than those of my ISP, like
OpenDNS (which I currently have) or Google but always the same, even
ignoring IPv6
