Public bug reported:

The old vte source hasn't been maintained upstream since 2011 (when
GNOME 3 was released). vte will be dropped from Debian Testing soon. We
should not ship it in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The replacement is provided by
source vte2.91 (which requires gtk3).

The geany-plugins will be "fixed" in Debian soon by no longer building
them.

sjterm was already requested for removal in LP: #1728241
guake's removal was requested in LP: #1739800
