Public bug reported:

Relase: Ubuntu 19.04, using gnome-session-flashback
gedit version: 3.32.0-3

What I expect to happen: To see the icon for gedit/Text editor in the
window list and when I use alt+tab/super+tab to cycle between windows
like it was

What happens instead: It shows up with the generic application icon on
the window list and a black box with a red error when I cycle through
windows using alt+tab/super+tab

** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
