Public bug reported: When Ubuntu releases an update the only information I get in Ubuntu Software is the one shown in the attached screenshot: no list of updates packages at all. Similarly, after clicking on the Update button, only a tiny progress bar is shown, it's never clear what is being done. I remember having used gnome-software in Fedora and the update process was more informative.
