Public bug reported: I use Kubuntu 20.04.1 on Thinpad T495 with encrypted disk (LVMS) and finger print reader.
PROBLEM: 1. I boot the laptop and can work 2. I log my user out and try to log in again with te password 3. I enter the password and press enter 4. The screen freezes and shows the login screen. It can only be killed and rebooted. Also, the finger print reader works everywhere, but not in the situation above. These are the seetings of my common-auth file: # here are the per-package modules (the "Primary" block) auth [success=2 default=ignore] pam_fprintd.so max_tries=1 timeout=10 # debug auth [success=1 default=ignore] pam_unix.so nullok_secure try_first_pass But I do NOT think that the problem is related to the fingerprint reader.
