Still not fixed in 22.04. Now the button visually reacts in a weird way
when clicked in the pixel in the corner, but the Applications menu is
not opened.

I continue to experience the described problem. I see that this had a
fixed pushed recently in version 22.04.1 and according to my package
manager I have version 22.04.4, so it appears there has been a
regression in the meantime.

Boot up Impish live media, with the default left-side dock setup, swing the
mouse pointer to the bottom-leftmost corner of the screen. The "Show
Applications" button is not highlighted and cannot be activated.
