*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1991691 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1991691

Possibly related to LP: #1991691, I also had font problems in the
Firefox snap with kernel 5.19.0-19 which were solved by reverting to
5.19.0-18.

The reporter of this issue confirmed[1] he was also on that kernel.

Title:
  Japanese Text no longer shows

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  1) Ubuntu 22.10
  2) firefox 05.0.3-1 1943 latest/stable mozilla✓ -

  3) Text written in japanese no longer shows, instead, the unicode
fallback font is used, for example

https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E3%81%AB%E3%81%8A%E3%81%91%E3%82%8B%E6%BC%A2%E5%AD%97

It shows up fine in a browser running in a 20.04 LXC, and it also
shows correctly in the window title bar, but not inside the actual
  browser.

  4) I expect japanese text to show up correctly.
