For those having the same problem: You can simply replace the URL to
open in order to make it work. Instead of
/remote.php/dav/files/$USERNAME you can use /remote.php/webdav/

I am affected too. In my case, I am accessing Nextcloud running on
Ubuntu Server 22.04 for Raspberry Pi from thunar and Gigolo on Xubuntu.
Same error on both "Message recipient disconnected from message bus
without replying". On my Kubuntu desktop, KDE Dolphin accesses OK
(though now on Kubuntu
