Public bug reported: Randomly when using a USB audio device my headphones will start screeching at a deafeningly loud volume.
This seems to be a documented bug in pipewire with a fix committed last week. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/2832 I'd say this is pretty major. The volume is not controllable and using headphones it was painfully loud causing my ears to ring for several minutes. ** Affects: pipewire (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pipewire in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1998242 Title: Audio plays deafeningly loud Status in pipewire package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Randomly when using a USB audio device my headphones will start screeching at a deafeningly loud volume.
