Same problem here.
I have to choose between being able to alt-tab while dragging or using
devilspie2 to fix another annoying bug in vscode (open file dialog opens
in background). devilspie2 doesn't work with Wayland. Sad having to face
these dilemmas.

Same problem here. Switching to Wayland fixes this, of course, but
Wayland still falls short of providing (eg) the screenshot features of
ksnip.
Having to choose between no drag and drop while app-switching in Xorg or
being obliged to live with the screenshot shortcomings of Wayland leaves
