Title:
Firefox drag/drop url onto desktop
Further can confirm that the "first launch blank screen issue" no longer
happens but the "dragging off the window area crashing the desktop"
still occurs.

Identical issue.
- first launch application after new logon opens a blank window surface. Kill
then, wait for loading icon to stop, then launch again loads normally on second
launch.
- drag a link (padlock) from the window area causes an immediate end of
desktop session.

I have a similar situation. Firefox 112.0.2 When moving the mouse over
thumbnails on the predominantly Youtube site, the browser closes spontaneously.
Sometimes with exiting a Gnome desktop session. The reason is not clear. There
is no such problem in the Chromium browser.
