Please run these commands to confirm you only have the three supported
gnome-shell extensions enabled:

  gnome-extensions list
  gnome-extensions list --enabled

Please also open the 'Additional Drivers' app and try installing one of
the proprietary NVIDIA drivers instead.

If the problem still isn't solved then please also attach full output
from 'top' showing the high CPU and RES.

  gnome-s+ CPU useage spike  to 100%+ on mouse move

  when i move my mouse, the gnome-s+ CPU usage spike > 100%, RES > 1G.
