Title:
GUI-based tar.gz app cannot extract as superuser

Status in File Roller:
  Confirmed
Status in file-roller package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: file-roller

  Double-click on a .tar.gz file, then extract to a location that a
normal user does not have access to. Instead of popping up a dialog
asking for security credentials, it simply fails. I see no option for
su-extracting files, so I assume the only way to extract files to a
protected location is through the CLI.
