  tray icon won't go back to messaging menu upon unchecking then
  rechecking notification option

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

  upon clicking Preferences-->Notifications and unchecking "Show
  incoming messages in the messaging menu" the icon for empathy shows
  up. When checking it again, I would expect it to disappear again. This
  is not the case.
