Hi, During my migration from 10.04 to 12.04, gdm freezes on each try to startup just after logging. FYI, a simple user cannot understand what's happens. To solved my problem : CTRL + ALT + F1 login with my user sudo apt-get install fglrx-updates sudo apt-get remove fglrx* fglrx-amdcccle reboot
